“How long will my wax last?”

Your wax will usually last between 3-4 weeks. Hair typically grows back within two to eight weeks depending on the individual. Because there are three growth cycles in hair growth, you may experience re-growth sooner. This is not the growth of waxed hair rather the emergence of hair that was not present or too short at the time waxing. With regular waxing you can decrease the frequency with which you'll need it.

“Can I tan before I get waxed?”

We recommend no tanning 48 hours before and after any waxing session due to the sensitivity of the skin.

"Can I take medication to dull the pain before my waxing service?"

Yes! you may take an over-the-counter pain medication such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen one hour prior to waxing. Avoid aspirin and other blood thinners.

“I'm a little nervous...does waxing hurt?”

It depends on your tolerance for discomfort. Try to keep in mind that you are removing the hair from the root, but your fabulous wax specialists will make sure you are as comfortable as possible.

“Do I need to notify my aesthetician if I am on my Menstrual Cycle prior to waxing?”

Yes. The skin is much more sensitive to waxing during this time of the month. Because of water retention and for your personal comfort, avoid hair removal two days before your cute and two days after. The aesthetician prefers and recommends to not have the service performed during this time of the month.

“Hallelujah, I'm pregnant! Can I still wax?”

Firstly, congratulations! Secondly, yes, you can still wax. However, you may experience more skin sensitivity due to the hormonal changes your body is going through. Our wax specialists will make you as comfortable as possible during the service. We recommend checking with your doctor during the last two months of pregnancy.

"Uh-oh, can I still wax if I have a sunburn?

We will not perform services on sunburned skin or skin that is irritated or unhealthy. When your skin has healed, you can call or your book your reservation online!

“Can I still wax if I've just had a facial?”

You can still wax if you receive a basic facial that includes a cleans, steam, exfoliation and mask. If you received a specialty facial that includes, but is not limited to, an alpha (AHA) or beta (BHA) hydroxy peel, microdermabrasion or any other deep exfoliation treatment, then you need to wait at least 7 days to receive a wax service.

"Let's get serious: Can I still wax if I'm on medication?"

It's always best to refer to your doctor if you have any questions. For prescribed creams such as Retin-A or Differin, we advise that you stop use 7 days prior to your wax reservation and not resume use until 7 days after your wax service. We will not wax you if you are on Accutane. It is very dangerous to wax while on Accutane and a doctor's note will be needed to receive services. Remember, it's important to inform or update your aesthetician on what medications you may be taking so we can ultimately provide you with a safe waxing experience.
