summer glow in a bowl

Açai bowls are our summer breakfast go-to! For ladies on the go, breakfast is often forgotten or pushed aside in a scramble to get to morning meetings or to hustle the kids out the door. We think that this açai bowl can make that a little bit easier. Açai bowls are rich in antioxidants, fiber and vitamins but they aren’t too heavy in your stomach- the perfect breakfast for warm summer mornings. It will leave you feeling cool, refreshed and energized to take on the day.

With family vacations and girlfriend getaways coming up, we want to make sure that our bodies are hydrated and healthy. We always mix in a spoonful of The Beauty Chef’s GLOW Inner Beauty Powder (sold in our spa)  to give our skin an extra boost. To get the glowing, hydrated, clear skin you are craving, you need to start with your gut and the rest of your body will catch on.

Ingredients:
½  - 1 cup frozen blueberries (or any frozen fruit)
1 frozen banana, chopped
2 packets of unsweetened açai puree
½ cup coconut milk
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons GLOW Inner Beauty Powder from The Beauty Chef
2 teaspoons chia seeds
2 teaspoons cacao nibs
Toppings of your choice

Toss the frozen fruit, açai puree, coconut milk, GLOW powder, cinnamon, chia seeds and cacao nibs in a blender on high until smooth and creamy. The consistency should be thicker than a regular smoothie since you will be eating it out of a bowl with a spoon. Pour the smoothie into two shallow bowls. Top as you wish with sliced banana, fresh blueberries or strawberries, granola, sliced almonds and/or toasted coconut. Serve immediately.
